About
I have been at the University of Texas at Arlington since 1990. I started out as a science librarian/bibliographer and my public services stint included a year as acting head of the Science & Engineering Library.
In 1998, I transferred over to the Library's Information Technology department (now called Library Systems).
For my first eight years in IT, I was the library's UNIX system administrator. Currently my main responsibility is Voyager, UT Arlington's integrated library system.
When I get the opportunity (which is not often enough), I like to do programming for system and Voyager automation and especially for web-based applications. My work includes the New Books List and ShelfLister.
Most of my programming work involves database front-ends, but I also like to build the database back-end too. Examples include the PkgInfo and URDU databases.
